Ngwe Saung Beach

This newly opened beach is located in Ayeyarwaddy delta region facing the Andaman Sea. It can be reached within 5 hours by car from Yangon. The beach is 9 miles long and one of the longest beach in South East Asia, it provides breathtaking vistas and views of the Bay of Bengal at sunset. Evergreen tropical rain forests on the slopes of the Rakhine Mountain range serves as a back-drop for the white sand and the crystal blue water of the Ngwe Saung Beach. Although Ngapali Beach was up to 2005 the most famous beach destination for tourists it now got a healthy competition from Ngwe Saung Beach because of its same relaxing atmosphere.
