Breakfast at the hotel. Excursion to Bago, “formerly called
Hantharwaddy” - the ancient capital founded in 573 AD by “Mon” Kings
– situated 80 km north of Yangon and approximately 2 hours drive.
En-route visits Htaukkyant war cemetery, a rest place for
about 27,000 Allied soldiers died in WWII, and four gigantic "Kyaikpun
Buddha Images" all in sitting posture placed back to back.
The sightseeing in Bago include Bago Market; Hinthargone
hillock – the foremost tiny land.

Shwemawdaw Pagoda- towering 375 feet and taller than
Shwedagon ; Shwethalyaung reclining Buddha Image – originally
built in 994 AD and is a masterpiece of Myanmar stucco and symmetry
and cheroot making cottages. Back to Yangon in the late afternoon.
